The founders of Quantitative Specialists met in graduate school where we studied economics and worked in the Data Service Studio at New York University. Over the course of this experience, we have helped dozens of students, faculty and staff with statistical modeling and data needs for academic research across many academic disciplines. Eventually, word spread and we began to be approached by academics at other institutions, businesses, research institutes, and financial firms for additional projects. Today, Quantitative Specialists is the formalization and extension of this process. Quantitative Specialists is based in New York City. We do consulting work in person in New York or remotely for clients anywhere in the world. Additionally we assist with permanent placements throughout the United States. We have maintained and enhanced our relationships at NYU, Columbia University, and other top academic institutions. These connections provide access to a stream of top tier talent, cutting edge research techniques, and insights into the analytic trends across many industries. 
Graham Lawlor - Managing PartnerGraham studied mathematics, statistics, and economics at Columbia University and NYU. He has been employed by the NYU Data Service Studio since 2007, specializing in R, Eviews and web analytics. In the spring of 2008 he founded Ultra Light Startups, an international organization of technology entrepreneurs. Prior to this he managed IT projects at UBS and Deutsche Bank for over 10 years.
Miguel Olivo - PartnerMiguel studied mathematics, statistics, and economics at NYU and Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo where he received a MA degree in mathematics. He has been employed by the NYU Data Service Studio since 2008, specializing in Stata and Matlab. Prior to this he was Public Policies Coordinator for the Suprema Corte de Justicia in the Dominican Republic. |
